How to Use Mailtrap
Using Mailtrap is simple for both testing and sending emails. Here are the steps:
Sign up for a free account at mailtrap.io and verify your email address.
For email testing, go to Email Sandbox and create a new sandbox inbox. Copy the SMTP credentials provided and add them to your application settings.
Send test emails from your app. They will appear in your Mailtrap sandbox instead of going to real email addresses. Check the HTML, text, spam score, and attachments.
Use the HTML checker to see how your email looks across different email clients like Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail.
For sending real emails, add and verify your domain in the Email Sending section by adding DNS records.
Integrate the API or SMTP credentials into your production environment. Monitor email performance through the dashboard to track delivery and engagement.
