Meta AI

Meta AI is Meta's own AI assistant, built right into WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Threads, plus a standalone phone app, a Mac app, and Meta's smart glasses. You sign in with your existing Meta account, so there is no separate app to set up.

It can answer questions using the live web, write and edit text, and create or edit images from a simple description. Voice conversations feel natural too, since you can interrupt, change topics, or switch languages mid-sentence.

Beyond one-off answers, Meta AI can now take on ongoing jobs, like sending a daily briefing, building a slide deck, or planning meals for the week ahead.

It runs on Meta's Muse Spark models, while Meta's separate Llama models stay open for developers to download and run on their own.
