ElevenCreative Adds Character Casting for Easier Multi Voice Audiobooks
ElevenLabs has launched Character Casting, a new tool that lets authors give every character in their book its own unique voice.

ElevenLabs has launched a new tool called Character Casting inside its ElevenCreative Audiobooks platform, making it much easier for writers and publishers to turn books into full-cast audiobooks with different voices for each character.
Until now, giving every character in a book its own unique voice took a lot of manual work. With Character Casting, users can simply upload their manuscript, and the system automatically finds every character in the story. It then suggests matching voices by picking up on details like a character's age, gender, tone, and role in the story.
Writers can preview these voices using real lines from their own book instead of generic sample text, and switching a character's voice takes just one click, instantly updating every line that character speaks.
The tool is part of a five step process. After uploading a manuscript and selecting chapters, users cast characters with the new feature, set pronunciations for names and places across the whole book in one go, adjust pacing for the story, and then generate the final audio, which can be reviewed, redone if needed, and published.
This update builds on ElevenCreative Audiobooks, which lets people turn manuscripts into studio quality audiobooks using AI voices in dozens of languages, along with music and sound effects.
Authors can publish through platforms like ElevenReader and Spotify. ElevenLabs says this process is far cheaper and faster than traditional audiobook production, which can cost thousands of dollars and take weeks to finish.
Character Casting is now live and available on the ElevenCreative Audiobooks platform, giving independent authors and small publishers a simple way to create rich, multi voice audiobooks without hiring a full cast of actors or booking studio time.
