Resend Now Lets Free Users Verify Up to 3 Domains

Resend has made a big update to its free plan. Free users can now verify up to three domains. This is up from the earlier limit of just one.

This change means developers no longer need to juggle multiple free accounts just to work on separate projects.

With three domains allowed on a single account, users can run different side projects under their own domains, split transactional emails from marketing emails to keep delivery rates healthy, and even set up a proper staging environment before pushing changes live.

Setting up the extra domains is simple. Users can add them directly from the Domains page in their dashboard, or through the CLI, MCP, or API, depending on what fits their workflow. The best part is that email quotas are shared automatically across all domains on a team, so there is no extra setup needed to manage limits.

The company shared full details of this update in its official changelog, confirming the new limit is already live for every free team. Along with this, Resend also confirmed that receiving emails still works on the free tier, giving developers a complete send and receive setup at no cost.

For context, the free plan still includes 100 emails a day, along with features like inbound email support, webhooks, tracking, and React Email support. Developers looking for higher limits can move to paid plans, which offer more domains and no daily sending cap.

This update is a simple but useful improvement, especially for indie developers and small teams who often manage several projects at once. It removes a common workaround and makes the free tier far more practical for real world use.
