How to Use StatusKit
Getting started with StatusKit is straightforward. Here is how to use it effectively:
Sign up for an account and choose your StatusKit subdomain during registration. Fill in basic information about your business to complete the setup.
Add your services to the dashboard. Services represent different parts of your business like Website, API, or Payment System. You can group related services together using drag-and-drop.
Create custom service statuses that fit your needs, such as "Operational," "Minor Outage," or "Under Maintenance." This helps you describe situations more accurately than generic status options.
When an issue occurs, create an incident report. Fill in the required details about what is happening, which services are affected, and what you are doing about it.
Update the incident as you make progress. Customers who subscribed to notifications will receive updates automatically through their preferred channel.
Mark incidents as resolved when everything is back to normal.
