Granola Launches Spaces to Turn Team Meeting Notes into Shared Knowledge
Granola has launched Spaces, a team collaboration feature that lets companies organize and search all their meeting notes in one shared workspace, backed by a fresh $125M raise.

Granola is an AI-powered meeting notepad app that has launched a new feature called Spaces which helps teams share organize and search all their meeting notes in one place. The launch comes alongside a $125 million Series C funding round, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. The round was led by Index Ventures, with Kleiner Perkins also joining in.
Granola works by recording meeting audio directly from a computer, without sending a bot into calls. It then blends a user's typed notes with the full transcript and uses AI to produce clean summaries and action items. Until now, this worked mostly for individual users. Spaces changes that by bringing teams into the picture.
With Spaces, every user gets two main areas inside the app. One is a private space for personal notes. The other is a shared Team Space where colleagues can all see and access meeting notes together. Teams can create folders inside these spaces to keep things organized, such as folders for sales calls, research sessions, or client meetings.
The biggest addition is how the AI chat feature now works across an entire space or folder. Instead of asking questions about one meeting at a time, users can now ask things like "What did we learn from our last 20 research calls?" or "Why are we losing deals with this client?" and get answers pulled from hundreds of conversations at once.
Notes stay private by default and are only shared when a user chooses to move them into a team folder. Non-Granola users can also view and chat with shared notes through a simple link.
Companies like Vanta, Gusto, and Asana are already using Granola. The new APIs and updated tool integrations mean Granola notes can now connect directly with other AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
